Kids Activity Ideas

SHOE STRINGS:
Give each child a pair or shoestrings and colourful thin permanent markers. Encourage children to write in small letters the words from today’s lesson that will continue to encourage them each day and will comfort them when they struggle and need guidance. If children don’t use shoestrings for their shoes, they can be used as a necklace to remember today’s lesson.

THANK YOU NOTES:
Children can be given construction paper and markers, stickers, glitter, etc to make a folded THANK YOU note to our Father for sending the Holy Spirit to be our comfort and our guide.. Stand the Thank You Notes on the classroom table and read them as the final prayer as children prepare to leave the class.

Kids Activity Idea

MAZE BIBLE VERSE:
Have children draw a squiggly line around a piece of paper  and write their Bible verse on that squiggly line. Color in the little shapes where the lines come together for an “added effect” for their maze poster!  For extra fun, have children hand someone else their verse maze and see if they can read it and follow the verse along the lines!

Kids Activity Ideas

COTTON SHEEP: 
Print off or draw outline of a sheep. Have children glue on cotton balls to make a SHEEP – Oldie but I think the kids still enjoy it  They will probably like the following sugar coated one better LOL

SHARE A SNACK: 
Each child will be given a couple of marshmallows to hook together with candy stick or a toothpick to represent a sheep! These could be dipped in frosting or chocolate syrup!

Kids Activity Idea

“SEEING” Game

Give each child an opportunity to DO SOMETHING while the other children observe them and try to detect what they are doing. (Suggest to the children that they do SMALL motions such as wink an eye, move one finger, move a toe, wiggle an ear, wag their tongue.) When a child feels he can guess, he says, “I SEE, I SEE”! If children can not guess what the other child is doing after several tries, then the children will “need help in seeing”, just as was taught in our lesson today.
