Rector/Senior Pastor – Ps Andrew Peters
Andrew has experience in the areas of youth ministry, evangelism, community care, pastoral ministry, leadership and teaching. He began his ministry as an evangelist in the mid-seventies, as Director of Evangelism for Teen Challenge in Kings Cross. He continues to preach on the cutting edge of youth ministry and evangelism today.
In the area of pastoral ministry he has ministered in various leadership capacities in the Anglican Church, including being a member of Bishop-in-Council, and a Rector/Senior Pastor for some thirty years. He became Ministry Development Pastor of Garden City Christian Church, Brisbane at the turn of the millennium and has worked extensively in the area of the mobilisation and development of lay ministry in the Church.
Andrew has extensive experience in the area of training and teaching. He has served as Lecturer and Head of the Faculty of Ministry Formation for Southern Cross Bible College (Richmond), as well as Principal of Garden City College of Ministries and College of Arts. He has experience in the area of accreditation and management of both TAFE level and University level Ministry Training Colleges, as well as in the education and training of pastors, missionaries, performing artists and lay ministers. He has a PhD (ACU) in leadership and ministry in a new paradigm.
Creative Arts Director/Senior Pastor – Lynette Peters
Lynette is the Creative Arts Director of Cornerstone where she grows the various bands, as well as developing the areas of audio/visual, drama and music in the life of the church. She has extensive experience in the area of music and worship, having over 30 years’ experience as a music pastor, establishing and developing bands and worship teams in a number of churches. She plays the flute and keyboard and is a trained musician with many years teaching experience in both instrumental music and theory.
Lynette holds a Master of Music (QUT) with a project in the area of performance anxiety. Lynette was the Assistant Director of Garden City College of Arts and was instrumental in its establishment and the accreditation of its courses along with the development of its staff and students. Lynette works on the cutting edge of new paradigm ministry and draws forth the skills and abilities of worship leaders and musicians.
