The gardens, lawns, forest and watercourse surrounding our church complex is like an oasis in the city. Our oasis in the city was designed, established and cared for by our Landscape & Gardening Team and those of our members who join in the various working bees and BBQs.
Our Landscape & Gardening Team has worked hard over many years to produce the wonderful landscape gardens that surround the alfresco patio area and the front lawns and gardens around the Church and Cornerstone Ministry Centre. This team has led our members at working bees to establish and maintain these gardens, along with the mowing, weeding and planting in the watercourse and playing field.
The work continues in the establishment of further gardens, with mulch and planting of new trees and shrubs. Along with this is the ongoing task of maintaining those gardens and the eradication of noxious weeds throughout our property, as required by BCC.
To build upon the work that has been done we need help in three areas, and we encourage our members to join the following teams:

Landscape & Gardening Maintenance Team: committed to the ongoing maintenance of the gardens and lawns – weeding, pruning, mowing (including the opportunity to ride upon our mower-tractor to mow the watercourse), watering and generally looking after the grass and gardens that have already been established;

Weed Eradication Team: to work in pairs doing the ongoing eradication work throughout our property and especially in the watercourse; and
-
Working Bees Team: to assist with the various projects that need to be done such as mulching and applying of topsoil. These are occasions where a group effort is needed to complete the work.
